Incline Gallery is proud to present Promises from San Diego, a group exhibition that features talented young artists. All the artists attended Palomar Community College in the years leading up to 2011. Since then Camille Bryant, Cameron Canales, Mackenzie Grimmer, Jamie Peterson, and Dalton Sjogren have all branched off. Now living in San Diego, Los Angeles or San Francisco, each artist is attaining success in their own facet of art.

Camille Bryant is an artist based out of San Francisco, California. She was born in Redondo Beach, California in 1989, but grew up in the small town of Medford, Oregon. She graduated cumlaude in 2012 with a Bachelor in Art, emphasis in painting and sculpture from San Francisco State University. In 2012 and 2011 Bryant was awarded Best Sculpture at the Annual Stillwell Exhibit, in the Fine Art Gallery at San Francisco State University. Currently, Bryant is exploring abstract painting that allows her to connect with the world.
Born in San Diego, California. Cameron Canales lives and works in San Diego. His only real formal art training is from a handful of skilled art professors at Palomar Community College, Christopher Polentz, Doug Durrant, and Lily Glass, where he graduated from in 2011 with an A.A. in psychology. Since then, Canales dove straight into drawing live caricature at the Safari Park in Escondido, CA, and Legoland, CA. He now runs his own caricature concession below the pier in Oceanside, CA. In addition, he also performs live at many private parties, & events. When Canales is not drawing caricatures, he is working on client projects and his own artistic vision.
Born in San Diego, California, in 1988. Jamie Peterson currently lives and works in Long Beach California. She is currently working towards her BFA in Illustration and Biomedical Art Certificate at California State University of Long Beach. Peterson attended Palomar College and received Associate in Arts Degree in Illustration and an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences. She has been awarded with the Lake San Marcos Art League Scholarship and Joe and Willa Perkins Scholarship in 2009-2010, Art Department Scholarship Committee Scholarship and the Joe and Willa Perkins Scholarship in 2009-2010 and 2010-2011. Presently, Peterson is working on her portfolio focusing on Illustration with emphasis on Biomedical and Scientific Illustration. After completing her BFA in Illustration, she plans on continuing her education by attending Grad School to achieve her goal of an MFA in Illustration or in Biomedical and Scientific Illustration.
Dalton Sjogren was born in Escondido, California, in 1991. Dalton lives and works in Culver City. He attended the Oregon College of Arts and Crafts in 2012. Currently Dalton is exploring a wide variety of subject matters and mediums. His work is marked by a definitive mood and atmosphere largely derived from a complex blend of the surreal, human psychology, and the other-worldly.
